The Non-religious Religion In Public Schools

Updated: Dec 7, 2018

IS IT CONSTITUTIONAL TO TEACH RELIGION IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS?

No. The public schools are run by the government. Therefore, they must obey the First Amendment. This means that while they can teach about the influences of religion in history, literature, and philosophy -- they can't promote religious beliefs or practices as part of the curriculum. Since private and parochial schools aren't run by the government, the First Amendment doesn't apply to them.

Also, students can be excused from some school activities if they conflict with their religious beliefs.

Okay, yes, everyone has a right to their own religion, and we don’t have a right to force religion on anyone. However, I think that what schools are teaching us right now IS a religion. So why and how is our government doing this?

Ponder this: This is the definition of Religion-The belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods. The what? The BELIEF! Okay, let's start with the Big Bang theory. First of all its a theory, it’s definitely not fact. There is no ground breaking facts that the big bang actually ever happened. So don’t we just BELIEVE that it happened? That’s right, we BELIEVE! And what was the definition of religion? It is the belief in super human powers. And creating a universe is superhuman, right? I mean, I personally don’t know any humans that can create a universe. So, isn’t the school already teaching a religion? Isn’t it called Atheism? If the government isn’t allowed to force religion on people, then why are they forcing religion on the children of our country?

Next we can look at evolution. Yes I believe in evolution. But I believe in microevolution, which is a small change in a single species. In school they don't teach this, they teach MACRO evolution, which is when evolution happens on a scale that transcends the boundaries of a single species. Basically saying that one species has turned into another species. They are trying to tell us that a small micro organism was just in the right place, at the right time and that is how a intelligent human race came to be. Does that sound very probable? And it isn't fact either. How do we know it actually happened? We don't. Again, we base it on belief. And belief in something of a super human power is religion. So our government is still teaching us religion, by saying that it isn't religion at all. When in fact it is the meaning itself it religion.

So how is this fair? The government, who isn't supposed to have anything to do with religion, now teaches the majority of children a religion that isn't even probable. So no, it's not constitutional and yet they are still teaching a religion.
